Map of Piraeus

From Athens airport to Lilia hotel.

Exiting the airport, the buses to Piraeus are within a few tens of meters, on the same sidewalk as you are. Buy a ticket (3.20, all prices in euros) at the kiosk nearby, and make sure you get on the correct bus: X96 goes to Piraeus, X95 to Athens --- they are parked near each other and it is easy to get confused. The buses leave every twenty five minutes or so (every thirty five from 23:00 to 07:00). The fourtysomething kilometer trip lasts about an hour, you get off at the Bus stop 1 of the map, just before the municipal theater ("Demotiko Theatro") at the center of Piraeus, a neoclassical landmark of the city. Ask the driver and/or other passengers to let you know where to get off. Once on the street, walk in the direction of the bus for about two hundred and fifty meters until you get to the municipal theater, turn left at the main intersection in front of the theater, walk some five hundred meters straight (the last one hundred of which going uphill), and turn right at Zeas street (the fourth street after the traffic lights). Lilia hotel is about a hundred meters in front of you (see map). Overall, it is a good idea to just take a taxi (about 3.50), in which case it would be nice to have with you the attached map, as some of the taxi drivers might not know the hotel.

From Athens airport directly to the port of Piraeus.

If you exit the airport before 15:10 on Sunday the 14th, proceed as above, but get off at Bus stop 2 ("Plateia Karaiskakh'', the second bus stop after Bus stop 1) and walk to the boat --- the group will be there at around 17:00 on Sunday. If you exit between 15:10 and 16:30 you still have a good chance to make it by taking a taxi (around 35), otherwise go for the bus-hotel-Monday departure option.

Late arrivals:
If you miss the boat on Sunday you can take the Monday, 17:30, boat to Aeghiali (the other port of Amorgos), departing from the same spot. In that case, you will need to buy a new ticket (or change the one you have, depending on the fare basis) from the Blue Star Ferries agency near the boat (they are certainly open before departure) - please call to let me know, so that I can advise the hotel (+30 693 7681205, leave out the +30 if calling from within Greece).

From the port to the airport.

From the boat, walk to Bus stop 3 and take the X96 bus from there - tickets can be bought onboard.

From Lilia Hotel to the airport.

Bus stops 4 and 5 are the most convenient. Bus stop 3 is also an option, but not 1 or 2 (wrong direction).
